My educational background in theatre led to my developing an affinity towards video and photography. The visual side of my works retains a sense of playfulness and live experience characteristic of the stage arts.
Over the past few years, my visual research has centered on “Objects of the inattention” – things whose existence we do not suspect or those which we ignore due to their randomness, brokenness, unplanned nature, their resulting from mistakes, their lack of importance – in other words, things which we do not think about.
I also have an affinity for collaborations with the fields of literature, music, and stage arts.
